Other than making some of the most popular songs which were played in every club, these music
artists have also left a significant mark in the sneaker industry. Let’s have a look at the collabora-
tions that musicians have made with some of the top sneaker brands -
1. Rihanna X Puma
Rihanna announced her collaboration with Puma, back in 2014. And since then, they have made
sneakers which have been sell outs. The hit sneakers would include the Puma Creeper and the furry
pool slides which gave rise to a whole new trend. Along with conquering the beauty space with her
brand Fenty, Rihanna recently launched a collaboration of Fenty with Puma which included apparel
as well as shoes.
2. Pharrell Williams X Adidas
Pharrell Williams, the co-founder of the Billionaire Boys Club has also held a good taste in fashion.
His collaboration with Adidas, which is ongoing is also a definite win. He made a great effort in
reviving the Stan Smiths and tried to make a huge statement with introducing their partnership with
“Hu” a collection of apparel which celebrates cultural diversity around the world. The partnership
included 14 items of apparel and 5 styles of footwear.
3. Beyoncé X Adidas
In 2016, Beyoncé made an announcement that she was entering the athleisure business by launching
her own brand - Ivy Park. Her brand collaborated with Adidas to show its high-fashion approach
toward sportswear. After presenting their first platform sneaker last year, they are back with another-
er, successful 2021 edition called Supersleek 72. The artist has not failed to make a statement with
her collaborations.
4. Ariana Grande X Reebok
The “Dangerous Woman” is another new member of the sneaker world. Ariana Grande announced
her partnership with Reebok in September 2017. Her collaboration helped Reebok to open its doors
to the new, young generation of sneakerheads. The singer appeared in their ads sporting the
Reebok “Rapide.” This sneaker is available in six different colorways too.
5. Steve Aoki X Asics
DJ and producer Steve Aoki, inked a deal with Asics in October 2017 to make a line of sneakers
through which they would aim to express a philosophy of living a healthy life through movement.
They launched the product line and called it “Hypergel.” This sneaker collab mixes street-style aesthetics with the standard Asics performance gel technology. The first shoe to launch in the collection
was Hypergel-Kenzen.
6. Selena Gomez X Puma
Selena Gomez, who was previously an Adidas ambassador, signed a deal with Puma in 2016. Her
latest drop was in 2019 when the collection’s color palette is fairly muted and simple. It features
both apparel and accessories, along with two new sneakers. For footwear, Gomez has tapped
PUMA!s Cali Suede silhouette to create her own SG Quilted Runner. Throughout the collection, the
star has incorporated personal motifs like 92, marking the year Gomez was born, as well as 48 for
the year PUMA was founded.
